For whom is Cognitive Brief Therapeutic Mentoring suitable?
Mentoring offers support to individuals facing challenges in their life, such as navigating difficult experiences, reflecting on relationships, or exploring their own identity. It may be beneficial for those experiencing persistent problems in their work or personal relationships, dissatisfaction in various aspects of life, or difficulty in setting and achieving their goals.
However, it is important to note that mentoring is not intended for treating serious mental health conditions or for individuals in an acute crisis. The success of cognitive brief therapy relies on the active involvement of the client, who works together with the mentor to set goals for the therapy process and commits to working independently between sessions.
Why engage in mentoring?
The objective of mentoring is to identify the underlying causes of issues that are affecting the client’s well-being, as well as unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns. It aims to assist the client in a focused and effective manner, providing new insights and tools to promote overall well-being.

The frequency of meetings can be determined based on your needs and preferences, and may occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

WHO AM I
I am a student at Integrum Institute for Cognitive Therapies Finland, where I am pursuing a degree in Cognitive Brief Therapy and expect to graduate in Autumn 2023. I hold degrees in Social Services and Sex Education, and have over a decade of experience in counseling and leading various support groups.
In my counseling work, I have primarily focused on issues related to identity, minority stress, diversity, loneliness, and self-esteem. I believe that working with cognitive therapy methods can significantly support our wellbeing. With open and honest dialogue combined with active, solution-focused methods , we can gain deeper understanding of the factors that affect our thoughts, feelings and behavior.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge or feeling a general sense of dissatisfaction, taking the time for self-reflection and working through issues with cognitive therapy methods can help you gain new insights, build resilience, and move forward in life with greater direction and purpose.
