The change for better is built together — not in isolation.
Equality Inc. is a community and platform for people and organisations committed to equality, wellbeing, and social change. We leverage multidisciplinary expertise and real-world experience to catalyse impact, sharpen understanding, and strengthen the way people and organisations work together.
Founded in 2022 by Aaro Horsma, the platform was shaped during its first years with strategic input from an Advisory Board — Maryan Abdulkarim, Miriam Attias, Hassen Hnini, Juha Kilpiä, and Satu Lekola. In that phase, we defined the organisation’s identity, purpose, and values — anchoring our work in uncompromising dialogue, responsibility, and accountability.
This foundation drives everything we do today:
a clear vision, a sharp value base, and the confidence to support people and organisations who are ready to create meaningful change.
AARO HORSMA
Aaro Horsma (he/they) is an expert in equality and wellbeing, combining community work, counselling, consulting, and advocacy rooted in social justice. Over the past decade, Aaro led Helsinki Pride Community, developing pioneering services and partnerships with NGOs, municipalities, government agencies, and the private sector.
Driven by people and their stories, Aaro fosters connections, hope, and solidarity. Their expertise spans cognitive brief therapy, (CBT) sex education, social services, journalism, and ongoing studies in rehabilitation. Aaro believes that understanding diverse experiences enables meaningful impact: “We can change and value most the things that we can understand.”
